The death toll from a recent landslide in Davao de Oro province of the Philippines surged to 35, with an additional 77 individuals reported as missing, APA reports citing Philippine media company GMA News.
Local authorities revealed the landslide's height, ranging between 30 to 50 meters, poses challenges to ongoing search and rescue efforts but that rescue teams persisted in their search on Saturday.
The landslide, which unfolded on Tuesday, swept through multiple residential areas during the week.
