The number of people killed in Israeli air strikes on Lebanon has surpassed 2,089 since the escalation began on 2 March, according to the country’s health ministry.
At least 34 people were killed and 174 others injured in the past 24 hours alone, following strikes on southern Lebanon, the ministry said.
Overall, 6,762 people have been wounded since the start of the escalation.
The health ministry said the victims include 1,671 men, 166 children and 252 women.
Israel has not immediately commented on the latest figures.
