Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold an emergency cabinet meeting after the declaration of the country's 10-day ceasefire with Lebanon, Israeli media reported on Thursday, APA reports.
According to Israel's public broadcaster Kan, the cabinet did not vote on the ceasefire before US President Donald Trump announced that Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun agreed to it. Reportedly, Netanyahu told the ministers ahead of the meeting that "Trump requested it," and that he bowed as "we have interests" with the US. Still, he supposedly claimed that Israeli forces would not leave Lebanon. Additionally, Channel 12 alleged that the ministers were "furious" over learning about the truce from the media.
