US attempts to isolate Iran could lead to a ceasefire violation, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said at a press conference, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
“Iran is not a country that can be isolated. If the United States cannot succeed through diplomatic means, it will not succeed through other means either,” Baghaei emphasized.
He rejected rumors about the extension of the ceasefire, noting that negotiations are continuing through Pakistan’s mediation and that claims about extending the ceasefire are not confirmed.
“We need to see how serious the other side is. It is the United States that must prove its seriousness, as it has not only failed to adhere to its commitments but has also disrupted the negotiating table several times.”
Speaking about US attempts to isolate Iran, Baghaei noted that such steps have no legal basis: “Moreover, this could create grounds for a ceasefire violation. Our Armed Forces will certainly respond appropriately if necessary.”
