There is progress toward reaching an agreement in negotiations with the United States, but obstacles still remain, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh told journalists, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Antalya reports.
Khatibzadeh stressed that the date for the next round of talks with the US has not yet been determined.
According to him, it is not possible to set a specific date without reaching an agreement on the framework deal, and information will be provided once an agreement is achieved.
At the same time, the deputy foreign minister noted that while some progress has been made in the negotiations, the United States’ maximalist position is hindering a final agreement.
“Iran will not accept any special status outside international law and will fulfill all its obligations strictly within the framework of international rules,” he added.
