Iran, Russia, and China are set to hold a joint naval drill with the aim of securing regional security, APA reports citing Mehr News.

Saying that the naval drill will be held by the end of the current Iranian year, Iran's Navy Commander Admiral Shahram Irani announced that other countries were also invited to participate in the exercise.

"The most important strategy of the Iranian navy in the current situation is to preserve and protect the interests and economic resources of the Islamic establishment and the Iranian nation. The Iranian Army Navy protects the shipping of the Islamic Republic of Iran and helps countries that need support to ensure security and safety," Irani added
