Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang in a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Yoshimasa Hayashi on Sunday called on Japan to avoid policies of pressure in its bilateral relations, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The Chinese official stressed that creating "cliques, intimidation, and pressure will not help solve existing problems, but will only deepen differences." He also urged Japan to abide by the principles and commitments set out in the four policy documents between Tokyo and Beijing and refrain from interfering in the Taiwan issue.
During their talks, Hayashi expressed "strong" concern regarding China's escalating military activity near Taiwan.
