Baku-APA. Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani on Tuesday called on the Libyans not to allow foreigners to interfere in the new government, APA reports quoting IRNA news agency.

Larijani said the new democratic government should represent the revolutionary people without foreign interference.

There is a hope that the Libyan elites will "never let the global arrogance bring to power a new dictator in that country," the report quoted him as saying.

The people in Libya stood up and proved that all should respect the rights of nations, said the report.

Larijani wished the new government success and called for expansion of the relations between Iran and Libya.

Libyan rebels entered the capital Tripoli on Sunday and declared control of most parts of the city as of Monday afternoon.
