15 injured in blast in Peshawar, Pakistan

According to the report, the blast took place at about 4:40 a.m local time at a CID (Center of Investigation Department) police station on the University road of the city.

The entire building collapsed following the explosion and many people were buried under the debris, said the report, adding that rescue team is trying to pull the buried people out of the collapsed building.

Police have cordoned off the area and 15 people injured in the blast have been shifted to nearby hospital, said the report.

The blast, which occurred in the downtown area of Peshawar, is so huge that even people living at the outskirts of the city can hear the blast, said an eyewitness.

The nature of the blast is yet to be determined and no group has claimed the responsibility for the blast yet.
