Participants of the international congress dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress visited the Alley of Honor to pay tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev, APA reports.
The visit took place as part of the Turkic World Week organized in Baku.
The participants laid flowers at the grave of the National Leader and honored his cherished memory.
They also visited the grave of prominent ophthalmologist-scientist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
The visit was attended by the ministers of culture of Azerbaijan and the Turkic republics, the heads of the leading international organizations of the Turkic world—the Organization of Turkic States, TURKSOY, the International Turkic Academy, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, TURKPA, the Yunus Emre Institute, and other institutions—as well as renowned Turkologists and experts from various countries.
