"The prospects of TRIPP are uncertain. This project would only benefit from Russia's participation," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

"The 'Trump Route' is unlikely to satisfy Iran. There are reasons to believe that this project is also not acceptable to China," he said.

The Russian diplomat recalled that Armenia's railways are managed by South Caucasus Railway, a subsidiary of Russian Railways.

"Transit from Armenia must be carried out in accordance with the norms and rules of the Eurasian Economic Union, and Armenia has stated that it does not intend to leave the EAEU," Galuzin said.

He noted that TRIPP is planned to pass through an area protected by Russian border guards. Therefore, the views of both Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union must be taken into account.
