Baku-APA. Representatives of 43 countries are coming to Tehran to participate in the 9th Iran Petrochemical Forum, which is being held in the Iranian capital from May 21 to 22, APA reports quoting Press TV.

The secretary of the forum, National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NIPC) Planning Manager Ramezan Oladi, said on Saturday that more than 110 participants from 25 major petrochemical companies will attend the two-day conference, a Press TV correspondent reported.

Oladi said that officials from 43 countries, including Germany, France, Italy, India, Greece, Japan, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, China, South Korea, Turkey, Switzerland, Britain, and Singapore, will participate in the event.

The official noted that 840 experts from 260 Iranian firms will also attend the meeting.

He went on to say that a number of workshops will also be held on the sidelines of the conference.

Oladi said that the forum will focus on current issues of the industry, such as the impact of international economic crises on the petrochemical industry and the effect of the increase in feedstock prices on production capacity.

He also stated that cutting edge petrochemical technologies, marketing outlooks for and quality management of petrochemical products, and investment opportunities in the industry will be some of the main topics of the forum.

Iran has expanded the range and volume of its products significantly over the past few years, and the NIPC is the second largest producer and exporter of petrochemicals in the Middle East.
