US Drone Strike Kills 7 in Pakistan

Baku-APA. Pakistani officials say a U.S. drone strike killed at least seven suspected militants in the country’s northwest Thursday, APA reports quoting voanews.com website.
The officials said several missiles struck a vehicle in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan near the Afghan border, killing everybody inside. Some officials put the death toll at eight and said those killed included foreign militants.
It was the third suspected U.S. strike since al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden was killed in a U.S. military raid in the northern garrison city of Abbottabad. On Tuesday, Pakistani officials said a drone attack killed at least three suspected militants in South Waziristan.
In the southern port city of Karachi Thursday, police said they arrested four alleged members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban militant group during a raid in the Pirabad area and recovered suicide vests, arms and explosives from the site.
Pakistani officials have called for an end to the drone strikes, which they say violate the country’s sovereignty. U.S. officials have never publicly acknowledged the use of drones against militants inside Pakistan, but have privately confirmed their existence to various media outlets.
