Nizami Ganjavi International Center and Foundation for Peace Culture sign international cooperation agreement

Baku – APA. Nizami Ganjavi International Center and Foundation for Peace Culture headed by former UNESCO director Federico Mayor Zaragoza have signed an international cooperation agreement. APA reports that the agreement envisages joint cooperation in the intercivilizational alliance and Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue and holding of the Supreme Group meeting.

Federico Mayor was UNESCO deputy director in 1978-1987 and UNESCO director in 1987-1999. He is the author of the historical project on the renovation of the ancient Library of Alexandria.

Pleased with his participation in the South Caucasus Forum organized in Azerbaijan by Nizami Ganjavi International Center and Club de Madrid, Zaragoza stressed that Azerbaijan is developing rapidly.

Federico Mayor Zaragoza, a member of the Guardian Board of Nizami Ganjavi International Center, expressed his satisfaction with the activity of the Center and stated that he will support it.
