Heydar Aliyev Center hosts press conference dedicated to famous artist Andy Warholâ€™s exhibition

Baku. Konul Kamilgizi – APA. Today, "Life, Death and Beauty" exhibition of Andy Warhol, the famous artist of the 20th century, will kick off at Heydar Aliyev Center, APA reports. Prior to the event, the curator of the exhibition Gianni Mercurio said at the press conference that the exhibition is being organized with the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Andy Warhol Museum. Gianni Mercurio expressed his gratitude to Director of Heydar Aliyev Center Anar Alakbarov for the organization of the exhibition and all Italian and Australian teams that will attend the exhibition: “The organization of this exhibition in Azerbaijan is a glorious opportunity for me to become familiar with beautiful Baku and kind people. I had good feelings in Baku, as I had in many countries of the world. Heydar Aliyev Center is one of the most beautiful works by Zaha Hadid, this is a center that will be an example to the modern buildings of the world.”

The curator said that more than 100 works and short films by the Andy Warhol, one of the famous representatives of the modern world, will be displayed at the exhibition to be held for the first time in Azerbaijan.

The official opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held in Heydar Aliyev Center today. The exhibition will last till September 9.
