The EU organizes drawing competition for children

Baku. Victoria Dementeva – APA. The European Union Delegation in Azerbaijan announces children's drawing competition in the context of the Europe Day. The Delegation told APA that the competition called "Vision of Europe" aims to demonstrate through paintings how children in Azerbaijan perceive Europe and what is their understanding of Azerbaijan's position role in Europe.

"Azerbaijan has a very rich cultural heritage and this kind of competitions shows that a new, very talented arts-oriented generation of Azerbaijanis is emerging. The competition demonstrates that art and culture can unite people, can become bridges for a better mutual understanding ", said Roland Kobia, EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

The competition is open to children from 6-14 years of age. The selection will be done in 2 age categories (6-9; 10-14 years old) by a jury. The 1st prize winners will be awarded with 1 year language courses (English or French); the 2nd prize winners - 6 months' language courses and 3rd prize winners - 3 months' language courses during an official ceremony by EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
