German experts to advise cinematographers from the South Caucasus and Black Sea countries

Baku. Ulker Gasimova – APA. Young cinematographers from countries of the South Caucasus and Black Sea region, as well as Bulgaria will meet with German film producers and cinematographers. “Narimanfilm” film studio told APA that Robert Bosch Stiftung has established 3 awards on the production of films for young cinematographers from Eastern Europe and Germany. Awards will be presented in 3 categories - documentary films, animated films and short films.

€ 7 000 will be allocated to each project. The project is being carried out on the joint initiative of Azerbaijani Union of Cinematographers and “Narimanfilm” film studio.

The event will take place within 3 days, during Sofia International Film Festival. The teams comprising directors and producers with the most promising projects from the Caucasus region will be invited Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Ukraine and Bulgaria.

Presentation of short films and documentaries to German producers envisages their further development and foreign experts’ advices.

The purpose of the seminar is to introduce the initial concepts of international co-production to young experts.
