Azerbaijani President receives Director General of UNESCO KoÃ¯chiro Matsuura

Baku-APA. Azerbaijani President has received Director General of UNESCO KoÃ¯chiro Matsuura, APA reports.
The Director General expressed his satisfaction with his participation in an official opening ceremony of International Mugham Festival organized by Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Azerbaijan.
The Director General touching upon rapid economic development in Azerbaijan said that large-scale measures had been taken in cultural field.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev touched upon world economic crisis and stated that the country had achieved rapid development in all spheres, including culture. The Head of State spoke about the cultural projects carried out in Azerbaijan and stressed the importance of organization of International Mugham Festival in Baku.
The President expressed his confidence that the visit would serve for the expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and UNESCO.
