100th anniversary of Ashug Emrah Gulmammadov marked in Tbilisi

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh-APA. 100th anniversary of Ashug Emrah Gulmammadov was held in Rustaveli Theatre in Tbilisi yesterday, APA Georgia bureau reports that Huseyn Yusifov, Deputy Head of Marneuli Executive Power made a keynote speech. The film on the activity and life of Ashug made by Youth Initiative Group was demonstrated in the event. Afterwards, governor of Kvemo-Kartli province David Kirkitadze, MPs Gultakin Hajibayli, Musa Guliev, Head of Azerbaijan-Georgia Friendship Group Ganira Pashayeva, Peopleâ€™s Poet Zalimkhan Yagub, Head of Union of Azerbaijani Ashugs, Ashug Ziyaddin Keshali, Ashug Avdi, Ashug Havaskar, SOCAR Manager Arif Aliyev and others spoke about the activity of Emrah.
Pashayeva presented gifts to governor of Kvemo-Kartli province and Marneuli leadership for organization of the jubilee event.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Namig Aliyev, officials of the Embassy, Mubariz Garayev, Tamar Kintsurashvili, Georgian Presidentâ€™s Advisors on national minorities, Aytekin Ayden, Head of TIKA Georgia bureau, Savalan Mirzayev, Advisor of Georgian Reintegration Minister, Azerbaijani guests, Azerbaijanis MPs in Georgian Parliament, Azerbaijani intellectuals from Marneuli, Dmanisi, Bolnisi, Gardabani, Rustavi, Kaspi, Mskheta, Zalga Regions, family members of Ashug participated in the event.
