Mehriban Aliyeva said that Azerbaijan is not dependent on the socio-political system, people of different nationalities and religions have always lived in peace, security and mutual respect, as one family. Today, multinational and multi-religious Azerbaijan remains faithful to this tradition.
It is no accident that in recent years in Azerbaijan are major forums on the intercultural, inter-civilizational dialogue.

Mehriban. Aliyeva invited participants to attend the Second Baku International Humanitarian Forum, which will be held in October this year.

Answering journalistsâ€™ questions, Mehriban Aliyeva noted that Heydar Aliyev Foundation has implemented a number of major projects for the protection of world heritage. In particular, have been restored as a Muslim mosques and Christian churches, built schools and cultural center for residents in Azerbaijan Jewish children. In Europe, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation took part in the restoration of the architectural monument of the Versailles palace, the cathedral stained glass, etc.

She noted that the secular, Muslim Azerbaijan is involved not only in the restoration of holy places, historical and cultural monuments belonging to the Christian world, but also the restoration of monuments of world importance.

Mehriban Aliyeva underlined that in Azerbaijan, tolerance, respect for cultural diversity, have a long and strong roots.

Head of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation said Azerbaijan attachs the greatest importance to the dialogue between East and West, Islamic and Christian worlds, different cultures. In this sense, Azerbaijan, as a Muslim country, can be role models for other countries.
