Film made about founder of Azerbaijani dramaturgy Mirza Fatali Akhundov

Production director of the film Ramiz Hasanoglu told APA that the shootings in Baku had been completed.The shootings will continue in Shaki from November 1.
â€œThe shootings in Shaki will last for three weeks. The first shootings started in the capital, the shootings will be continued in Shaki, Georgia and Turkey. We are going to complete the shootings in February. These are our plans, but everything depends on weather,â€ he said.

The film â€œMessenger of the dawnâ€ is about the life and activity of Mirza Fatali Akhundov. The script is written by peopleâ€™s writer Anar, production director is Ramiz Hasanoglu, operator is Kenan Mammadov, composer Javanshir Guliyev, artist Rafiz Ismayilov, director is Akif Rustamov, executive producer is Adil Gulamov.

86 Azerbaijani actors will play the roles in the film. Nijat Habibov will act the part of young Mirza Fatali Akhundov, peopleâ€™s artist Rasim Balayev will act the part of Akhundov after 50 years. Fakhraddin Manafov will act the part of Bakikhanov, Mammad Sefa the part of Hasan bey Zerdabi, Oleg Emirbeyov the part of Lermontov. The Azerbaijani actress living in Turkey Malahat Abbasova will act the part of Akhundovâ€™s wife Tubu khanym in the film. The actress will arrive in Azerbaijan tomorrow.

Hasanoglu said all the actors are Azerbaijani cinema figures. Among them are Aleksandr Sharovski, Yuri Baliyev, Mabud Maharramov, Rafig Aliyev.

The film is being made on the order of the Culture and Tourism Ministry at Azerbaijanfilm State Film Studio named after Jafar Jabbarly.

The film will be released in 2012 â€“ by the 200th anniversary of Akhundov.
