APA’s Moscow correspondent reports that the commemorative event was held in front of the monument to Muslum Magomayev on the occasion of the anniversary of the famous singer’s death. Magomayev’s wife Tamara Sinyavskaya, their close friends Araz and Emin Agalarovs, people’s artist of Azerbaijan Tahir Salahov, president of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress Mammad Huseynov, Doctor of Medicine Leonid Roshal, opera singer Yelena Obraztsova and representatives of Russian public participated in the event.

“A lot of people have come to commemorate Muslum. Muslum lives and will live in the hearts,” Tamara Sinyavskaya told journalists. Tamara Sinyavskaya said she could not participate in the commemorative event in Baku.
“Every year I marked this date in Baku. Unfortunately, I could not participate in the event in Baku today. Fortunately, monument to Muslum has been built in Moscow,” he said.

Muslum Magomayev died at the age of 66 in Moscow on October 25, 2008. The body of famous singer was brought to his native Azerbaijan and buried next to the grave of his grandfather Muslum Magomayev in the Alley of Honors.
