Conference and concert dedicated to 70th anniversary of Vagif Mustafazadeh - <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova - APA. Conference and concert dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the eminent Azerbaijani pianist and composer, national prize laurate Vagif Mustafazadeh was held at Baku Jazz Center. His life and activity were also taken into consideration at the conference organized by joint organization of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, APA reports. Prorector of Uzeyir Hajibeyli Baku Music Academy, Professor Gulnaz Abdullazadeh said at her speech that Mustafazadeh was not estimated while alive: â€œVagif Mustafazadeh, who gave fame to Azerbaijani jazz and showed our music to the world, couldnâ€™t receive appraisal for these services when he was alive. He met with several difficulties for a long time. But he could remove barriers, prohibitions inspite of all these difficultiesâ€.

Peopleâ€™s Artist, Composer Tofig Bakikhanov, Honoured Art Worker Shahla Hasanova, Professor Ulviyye Imanova and others spoke about Mustafazadehâ€™s activity.

Then the event was continued with concert. â€œRetro Sevilâ€ vocal instrumental ensemble, saxophone playersâ€™ group leaded by Arif Jahangirov, pianist Afghan Rasulov, vocalist Aynur Isgandarli, saxophone players Rafig Seyidzadeh, Zaur Mirzayev and others performed at the concert program.
