Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. National workshop “Running a museum” has been opened today in Museum Center with support of UNESCO Office in Moscow and CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund, APA reports. Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev said the workshop was very important and wished success.
“Museums are very important in terms of protection of Azerbaijan’s history and cultural traditions. Care for museums has increased in the country recently. Azerbaijani government pays attention to the museums not only on museum day. Thanks to this care, the sphere of museum is improving day-by-day. One of the main indicators of this improvement is establishment of cooperation with the museums of other countries,” he said.
The minister expressed his hope that the two-day workshop would be useful.

UNESCO Moscow Office Programme Specialist in Culture Lyubava Moreva read the speech of congratulation on behalf of Tatyana Bubnova, acting executive director of CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund.

Workshop “Running a museum” will last till April 22.
