US Vice President Mike Pence has called Russia, Iran and terrorism the “main threats” in the world.
He made the remarks at the meeting of the Atlantic Council, RIA Novosti reported.
"Because of Russia's attempts to reshape international borders by force and Iran’s attempts to destabilize the Middle East, to the extent of global terrorism that can strike at any time anywhere, the world now seems to be more dangerous than ever since the fall of communism a quarter of a century ago," he told the Atlantic Council, referring to the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.
He also stressed that the US is fully ready to fulfill its allied obligations within NATO and adheres to the principle that an attack on one NATO member is an attack on all of NATO members.
Earlier Lithuanian President Dalia GrybauskaitÄ— had said Russia and Belarus are a major threat to Baltic countries and Poland.
