"The hostilities that began on February 28, 2026, have ended," reads a letter sent by US President Donald Trump to Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson. The American leader also sent a similar letter to Chuck Grassley, who presides over the Senate in the absence of US Vice President J.D. Vance. Under the US Constitution, the vice president is the head of the upper chamber of Congress.
