White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Monday that it is "important" to continue supporting Ukraine against Russia's "unprovoked war," stressing that Washington is committed to providing Kyiv with "everything" it "needs" in its fight for freedom, APA reports citing Teletrader.
During the regular press briefing, Jean-Pierre underscored that "senior administrative officials," including OMB Director Shalanda Young, held "numerous conversations" with lawmakers from both parties in order to explain the "need" for the request for Ukrainian security assistance.
Earlier, United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a $200 million-worth military package for Ukraine.
