The United States has urged its citizens in Iran to leave the country immediately. The press service of the US Embassy in Iran advised citizens to consider leaving by land, if possible, towards Armenia or Türkiye, APA reports.
"Prepare an exit plan for your trip that is independent of U.S. government assistance," the embassy said in a statement.
In addition, the diplomatic mission warned of possible internet outages in Iran. It noted that US citizens are at high risk of detention in Iran, and even showing a US passport or having ties to the US could be grounds for arrest.
