The US is holding indirect negotiations with Hamas to discuss both stopping Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip and exploring possibilities to end the ongoing conflict through dialogue, said Steven Wittkoff, the special representative of the US president, APA reports.
"We are currently negotiating to stop some of these Israeli strikes and possibly end this conflict through dialogue," he said.
He also confirmed that Washington considers it acceptable for the Hamas movement to remain in the Gaza Strip if it is disarmed.
