The total value of 8 tons 406 kg 878.621 grams of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances seized from illicit circulation in Azerbaijan during January–September 2026 is estimated at AZN 246 million 273 thousand, APA reports, citing the Permanent Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Drug Trafficking.
According to the information, 4,352 people were held criminally liable in connection with illicit drug trafficking, of whom 4,235 were men and 117 were women.
A total of 566 kg 660.47 grams of various types of narcotic drugs and 2,778 tablets, 3 tablets containing potent substances, and 3 cannabis plants (880 grams) were seized from 50 foreign nationals held criminally liable.
