Azerbaijan has transformed the South Caucasus from a “battleground” of major powers into a space for cooperation for all parties, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev said in a post on his X account, APA reports.
Referring to his meeting with American Professor Jeffrey Sachs in Baku, Hajiyev noted that Azerbaijan, having spent 34 of its 35 years of independence in a state of war, is now building a green corridor from the Caspian Sea to Europe and rewriting its own story.
Hajiyev also shared his views on peace with Armenia, the Caspian Sea's 800-gigawatt wind energy potential, and COP29.
The post also noted that Jeffrey Sachs presented the Pope's encyclical on peace and artificial intelligence.
