United States President Donald Trump will arrive in Beijing on Wednesday evening to begin his official visit to China, White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said, APA reports.
On the following day, the US leader will participate in a welcome ceremony and have a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping. The two leaders will next tour the Temple of Heaven, a historic complex in southeastern central Beijing, and then attend a state banquet. The US president's visit to China is estimated to last three days and conclude on May 15.
Trump and Xi are expected to discuss a wide range of pressing issues, including conflict with Iran in the Middle East, trade relations, Taiwan, and nuclear arms control, among others. The two presidents last met in South Korea in October 2025.
