United States President Donald Trump insisted on Monday that he has "the best plan ever" for solving the crisis with Iran, APA reports.
Speaking during a fertility healthcare event at the White House, Trump reiterated that the response Iran gave to his peace proposal was "simply unacceptable." He underscored again that Tehran must not acquire nuclear weapons, as then it would pose a direct threat to Israel, the entire region, Europe, and so on. He also reaffirmed that Iran's military and leadership "are gone." Again, he criticised former President Barack Obama for signing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which he dismissed as unfavorable for the US.
In an interview with CBS News published simultaneously, Trump said that Iran did offer some concessions on its nuclear program, "but not nearly enough."
