The US wants to restore its embassy in Minsk, said US Presidential Spokesperson John Cole after a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, APA reports.
“The United States wants to return its embassy to Minsk. This is a matter for the near future. We want to have an embassy and an ambassador here, and we will work on it,” he emphasized.
John Cole praised the relations between the U.S. and Belarus as positive: “There is still much work to be done to further improve these relations. We want economic ties between our countries to develop and trade to expand. There is no need to highlight any disagreements. President Trump is ready to normalize the relations.”
