Two people were killed in the United States Army Apache helicopter crash, which happened near Fort Hood in Salado, Texas, on Wednesday afternoon local time, according to authorities, APA reports citing BBC.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after a 911 call to find the wreckage burning and a grass fire spreading. The Bell County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the crash damaged no nearby buildings or structures. Brigadier General Ethan Diven addressed the tragedy in a statement, saying, "Our immediate priority is securing the site and supporting the initial response efforts."
