The US will not directly participate in military operations against the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip; this task will fall to regional players, the US President Donald Trump said this during a conversation with reporters at the White House, APA reports.
"Someone will enter the Palestinian territories, but it won't be us. There are people there, very close by, who will do the job very easily," Trump stressed.
At the same time, he noted that such steps would be carried out under the supervision and support of the United States.
It should be noted that on October 16, Trump accused Hamas of killing people in Gaza and promised new military measures against the movement.
