Riots and looting during protests held in France on October 17-18 have caused significant material damage, APA reports.
According to estimates by the French Foundation for Research on Public Administration and Policy (IFRAP), the total damage could amount to approximately 1.1 billion euros.
Of this amount, 910 million euros represents direct material damage, while 190 million euros accounts for losses resulting from the suspension of business activities.
More than 2,500 establishments across the country were damaged during the incidents.
