Donald Trump has said that the United States is receiving most of the oil from Iranian tankers seized in the Indian Ocean.
Speaking in an interview with Salem News, Trump stated that a significant portion of the confiscated oil cargo is being redirected to the United States.
“Most of it comes to the US,” he said, referring to shipments taken from vessels linked to Iran.
The remarks highlight ongoing maritime tensions involving Iranian oil exports, which have been subject to seizures and enforcement actions tied to sanctions and regional security concerns.
The issue of seized oil shipments remains a contentious aspect of US–Iran relations, particularly in key shipping routes such as the Indian Ocean and nearby strategic waterways.
