US President Donald Trump said the US is “getting along with China” and that he will be meeting Chinese premier Xi Jinping soon in South Korea, APA reports citing CNN.
“I think we’re getting along with China,” Trump said at the White House today. “We’ll be meeting in a couple of weeks. We’ll be meeting in South Korea.”
When asked by a reporter if this meeting is going forward, Trump said, “I think so.”
“They want to meet, we’d like to meet. I have a very good relationship with President Xi, and we’re going to see what happens,” Trump added.
When asked if Trump hopes for a trade deal with China out of his meeting with President Xi, Trump said, “could be.”
“And I think we’ll make a deal that will be good for both. I think we will do something,” he said.
