Former United States President Donald Trump entered a not guilty plea on Friday to the three new counts in the indictment that accused him of mishandling classified government documents, APA reports citing Teletrader.
In June, the ex-president also pled not guilty to the 37 counts in the initial indictment, including conspiracy to obstruct justice and concealing a document in a federal investigation.
However, prosecutors added three counts to the indictment last week, with one accusing Trump of willful retention of national defense information, and the other two related to altering, destroying, mutilating, or concealing an object and to corruptly altering, destroying, mutilating, or concealing a document, record or other object.
