US President Donald Trump has announced that he will withdraw from peace talks next week if an agreement is not reached, APA reports, citing The Times newspaper.
It was reported that the US administration is proposing a peace agreement on the condition that the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia remain under Moscow's control. According to the publication, this position has been presented to the team of Trump's special representative Steve Witkoff as a "set in stone" principle.
The newspaper notes that Trump is trying to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to accept the conditions of a "forced peace". The US leader believes that Zelensky has no real choice but to agree to this agreement.
