Two people have been killed during demining operations in the city of Oleshky in the Kherson region, aimed at ensuring the safe passage of a humanitarian mission, APA reports, citing Russia's Commissioner for Human Rights Yana Lantratova.
According to her, one of those killed was a sapper.
"During the demining of the area, a sapper and another person were killed. We extend our condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased," Lantratova said.
Note that a few days ago, a temporary local ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine was declared in the city of Oleshky through the mediation of US First Lady Melania Trump.
