Former Director General of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Vugar Ahmadov has been appointed to a new position, APA-Economics reports.
According to the information, Vugar Ahmadov has been appointed adviser to Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov.
It should be noted that Vugar Ahmadov resigned from his position as Director General of the Central Bank on August 28 this year at his own request.
Vugar Ahmadov had worked at the Central Bank since 2009. Over the years, he held senior positions in the institution's Research Department and served as Director of the Research and Development Center from 2013 to 2017. He served as Director General of the Central Bank from December 2017 to August 2026.
