Speaking at a press briefing in Prague, Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar said he did not consider his predecessor Viktor Orbán a suitable leader for the United Nations, adding that Orbán could only be a good choice if the aim were to destroy the organisation, APA reports.
Magyar was responding to a report by The Wall Street Journal that US President Donald Trump’s administration supports Orbán as a candidate to become the next UN secretary-general. According to the newspaper, Washington approached Orbán with the idea and encouraged him to run for the post.
