US President Donald Trump stated that a potential deal with Iran would require the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz, through which transit would be free of charge, APA reports.
"The Strait of Hormuz must be opened immediately, with no fees for unrestricted passage of ships in both directions," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The American leader also noted that the deal provides for the lifting of the naval blockade and the demining of the Strait of Hormuz.
"All the ships that are stuck in the Strait because of our wonderful, unprecedented naval blockade, which will now be lifted, can begin the process of returning home," Trump said.
