US President Donald Trump signed a copy of the US-Iran agreement after a dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace of Versailles, CNN reports.
According to the report, Trump told reporters, "The document has been signed." The US side then sent a photo of the signed document to Iranian officials.
In addition, according to the "NewsNation" TV channel, the memorandum was also signed by Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian.
According to the report, the initial version of the document was signed electronically on Sunday by US Vice President Jay Dee Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqir Ghalibaf.
"On Sunday, the memorandum of understanding was signed electronically by Vice President Jay Dee Vance and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. Now, the document has been signed by President Trump and President Pezeshkian," the channel reported.
Tasnim news agency reported, citing the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghai, that the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran was signed electronically and that a separate signing ceremony for the document in Switzerland is not planned.
