The US Defense Department wants $75 billion to develop drone technology and counter-drone capabilities, APA reports citing Bloomberg.
According to him, the US military intends to spend most of its funds on purchasing, testing, and modifying existing systems, rather than on research. For example, $54.6 billion is planned for the Defense Autonomous Working Group, whose budget this year is only $225.9 million. It is noted that this could be the largest annual budget increase for any US military department or program.
