Baku-APA. A small plane crashed Friday in Belem, northern Brazil, killing one and injuring seven, according to local authorities, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The plane, a single engine Cessna 210L model on its way from Chaves, Marajo Island to Belem in Para state, crashed onto an avenue in the middle of the city when it was preparing to land in Belem's Brigadeiro Protasio airport.
The crash left the plane's front part completely destroyed, causing injuries to all eight occupants including the pilot, who was taken to a nearby hospital. However, one of the passengers, a woman in her 20s, died on arrival, the authorities said.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
