At least one injured in U.S. industrial gas plant

Baku-APA. At least one person was injured Saturday in an explosion at an industrial gas facility in the U.S. state of Texas, APA reports quoting U.S. media.

Several people remained unaccounted for and were believed to still be inside a lab at an Air Liquide cylinder plant in the city of La Porte, after an explosion happened there before 7:30 a.m..

Shelter-in-place orders were issued for La Porte and the southeast portion of Pasadena, and were lifted later, according to Harris County Office of Emergency Management officials.

Officials who had been monitoring air quality said there is no danger to the public. Witnesses said they heard several explosions from the plant.

One person was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition, according to the report. Arson investigators were in the lab looking into the cause of the explosion, the report said.
