The United States faces inevitable bankruptcy, and only artificial intelligence and robotics can save it, Elon Musk stated, APA reports.
"We, as a country, have a 1000% chance of going bankrupt and failing without AI and robots. Nothing else will solve the national debt problem," he said in a podcast on American blogger Dwarkesh Patel's YouTube channel.
Musk noted that the US national debt is "piling up like crazy" and expressed hope that the US will be able to "slow down the onset of bankruptcy" and buy enough time to develop artificial intelligence and robots that "can help solve the national debt problem."
The US national debt exceeds $38.6 trillion, which amounts to more than $112,000 per capita.
